Well, we’d be getting into yet another grading system, but on the European Alpine scale, I’d say PD (Peu Diificile). But also of course very remote, uncharted territory. And in less good footwear than we have today. Probably the hardest part technically is the descent by the waterfall, which I guess in UK climbing terms would be at the easier end of the ‘real climbing’ scale but definitely above scrambling. Perhaps Severe.

What grades are the climbs in Shattered Moon? I think that crossing was beyond ‘flirting’ with their comfort zones!
